- I'm an old maid with lots of cats. I live in the house that my grandparents built as newlyweds in 1930. I've been clipping coupons since I was a young teenager. When I was about 13 or 14, I insisted on buying my own toiletries and used coupons on every single thing I bought! It drove the cashiers crazy. I've been clipping for 40 years now and still learning every day how to make the most of my coupons and money.
