HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

There's nothing like starting a new year with a blank slate. No spending for groceries, nothing in the debit side. I just built my new spreadsheet for 2011 a few days ago. It's nice to see all blank lines.

It's kind of dreary here today, but, in the 60's. Not like a week ago with 6 inches of snow on the ground.

I mentioned paybox a few days ago. I signed up about a month ago and I sign in every few days and participate in surveys and such. My initial $25 gift has grown to more than $350! If you haven't signed up for paybox, you really need to. So what if it never gets off the ground? What have you lost, maybe 5 minutes a day of participation? If it goes as planned, you've made a lot of money for little time investment. I was so thankful for the woman who signed me up that I sent her some money out of my account. Rick signed up under me a few days ago and his account has already grown to more than $120. It sounds too good to be true, but, I think it's the real deal. Enough said. If you want in, I'm happy to have you.

Rick and I are starting the new year off with a bang with a new client for process service. We are to pick up 8 new papers on Monday out of county with more promised as we prove ourselves. I think I have explained this in the past. We serve court papers. It's really a great job. We work pretty much when we want to. We don't have to "clock in" to a job every day. We don't do the same thing every day and we don't see the same people every day. It's new and exciting all the time. I'm excited about the new clients and new prospects this year.

I think I am going to stick with $1,000 grocery challenge for 2011. I think we can easily make it with the stockpile in the house and my frugal shopping strategies. Rick is more of an impulse buyer, but, I think I can keep him on the straight and narrow most of the time. Stick with me for the ride!
